HOW TO APPLY – INDIAN STUDENTS
Admissions are open to students qualified to enroll for Commercial Pilot License (CPL)& Private Pilot License (PPL) programmes . Applicants have to register themselves with the prescribed applications at Orient Flights Aviation Academy.
Candidates are required to meet medical standards as per the norms laid down by the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). At the time of admission for PPL/CPL, students have to undergo Class II Medical with DGCA empaneled medical examiners. Students are advised to do the equivalent (mock-up) Class I Medical at the time of admission. This is a mandatory requirement before the issuance of the Commercial Pilot License. Application for admission to a course should be made only in the prescribed form, which will be issued along with the prospectus.
Application Form duly filled should be sent only to the Admissions Office or handed in person along with
(a) Copy of Mark-sheet of qualifying examination attested by a Gazetted Officer
(b)Registration Fee
Application forms which are incomplete or not accompanied with the prescribed documents or registration fees, are liable for rejection.
The Scrutiny Committee will process the application and provisionally select the students on merit.
Admission notices will be sent to the selected candidates intimating the dates on which they should report at the admissions office with the original certificates:
- Mark sheet of the qualifying examination
- Transfer Certificate
- Conduct Certificate
- Medical Certificate (as per DGCA standard)
- Police Clearance/Verification Certificate, Recent Passport Size Photographs after scrutiny of the documents and payment of fees, candidates will be issued “Letter of Admission” and they should report to the Chief Flight Instructor of the Aviation Academy at Mysuru for joining the program..
HOW TO APPLY – FOREIGN NATIONALS
Overseas students may consult the Indian embassy/ Consulate in their respective countries to obtain a student visa to study at Orient Flights Aviation Academy. A Security Clearance from the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), New Delhi is necessary for all foreign nationals to commence flying training in India. Normally it takes about 3-6 months approximately for processing the application.
Tuition and other fees prescribed should be paid on or before the stipulated date as per the laid down guidelines.
Refunds after the commencement of the course are entertained only if the student is considered medically unfit. No refund will be entertained after 3 months. Refunds will be made as per the policy prevailing at the time of withdrawal from the course. Students suspended / dismissed on disciplinary grounds are not entitled for refund and will forfeit their entire fees.
