Admissions are open to students qualified to enroll for Commercial Pilot License (CPL)& Private Pilot License (PPL) programmes . Applicants have to register themselves with the prescribed applications at Orient Flights Aviation Academy.

Candidates are required to meet medical standards as per the norms laid down by the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). At the time of admission for PPL/CPL, students have to undergo Class II Medical with DGCA empaneled medical examiners. Students are advised to do the equivalent (mock-up) Class I Medical at the time of admission. This is a mandatory requirement before the issuance of the Commercial Pilot License. Application for admission to a course should be made only in the prescribed form, which will be issued along with the pro­spectus.

Application Form duly filled should be sent only to the Admissions Office or handed in person along with

(a) Copy of Mark-sheet of qualifying examination attested by a Gazetted Officer
(b)Registration Fee

Application forms which are incomplete or not accompanied with the prescribed documents or registration fees, are liable for rejection.

The Scrutiny Committee will process the application and provisionally select the students on merit.

Admission notices will be sent to the selected candidates intimating the dates on which they should report at the admissions office with the original certificates:

1. Mark sheet of the qualifying examination
2. Transfer Certificate
3. Conduct Certificate
4. Medical Certificate (as per DGCA standard)
5. Police Clearance/Verification Certificate, Recent Passport Size Photographs after scrutiny of the documents and payment of fees, candidates will be issued “Letter of Admission” and they should report to the Chief Flight Instructor of the Aviation Academy at Mysuru for joining the program..

This Refund Policy applies to Cadets enrolled in the Flying Training Programmes, including (Ground + Flying) and Flying-Only Programmes.

1. Before Commencement of Training
Ground School:
For Ground School, if a Cadet withdraws before the commencement of Ground Classes, the Ground School Fee may be adjusted against a future enrolment, subject to the discretion of the Management.

Flying Training:
Flying Training Fees shall become non-refundable once the Cadet’s flying training slot has been allocated and training has commenced.

2. After Commencement of Training
Once Ground Classes or Flying Training has commenced:

• Fees paid towards Ground School shall be non-refundable.
• Fees paid towards allocated flying hours shall be non-refundable, whether or not the Cadet subsequently utilises the allocated hours.
• Voluntary discontinuation of training by the Cadet shall not entitle the Cadet to a refund.
• No refund shall be applicable where training is discontinued due to unsatisfactory performance, safety violations, disciplinary issues, or other reasons attributable to the Cadet.

3. Suspension of Flying Training
Where flying training is temporarily suspended due to force majeure circumstances, including adverse weather, regulatory restrictions, operational limitations or other circumstances beyond the Institution’s reasonable control, unused flying hours shall be rescheduled, subject to availability and applicable conditions, and shall not be refunded.

4. General
Any refund, adjustment or other financial settlement, where applicable, shall be subject to the applicable rules, regulations, institutional policies and the terms of enrolment.

Students who have secured outstanding marks, particularly in Physics and Mathematics, are eligible for this scholarship, which provides partial financial assistance toward the Commercial Pilot License (CPL) training program. The scholarship is granted based on a predefined merit scale, with higher percentages qualifying for greater benefits, subject to verification of academic records and fulfillment of DGCA eligibility criteria.
