DGCA Approved Ground Training
The DGCA specifies a ground training syllabus of 350 hours for a CPL student. However, OFAA has formulated a syllabus of over 600 hours, to equip every CPL holder to be successful at the time of Airline Interviews. OFAA Ground Training includes the syllabus for Air Navigation, Technical (General & Specific) and RTR (Radio Telephony Restricted), an examination conducted by the Ministry of Communication, Govt. of India.
Ground Examinations
During the PPL and CPL training course, students will have to successfully clear the following ground examinations conducted by the DGCA, Ministry of Civil Aviation and WPC, Ministry of Communication in India.
- Student Pilot License (SPL)
- Flight Radio Telephony Operator License (FRTOL)
- Student’s Pilot Endowment (Cessna 172)
- Private Pilot License (PPL)
- Commercial Pilot License (CPL)
- Radio Telephony Restricted (RTR)
Students are required to take ground examinations stipulated by the DGCA, at approved centers to qualify for their licenses. Students may access the DGCA website for examination schedules, results and other related information at www.dgca.nic.in.
