New Base Stone Laying Ceremony

A Landmark Moment in Andhra Pradesh’s Aviation Training Journey

We are proud to announce the successful Stone Laying Ceremony of the upcoming Aircraft Hangar at our Kurnool campus on February 10th, 2025 — a significant milestone in the growth of Orient Flights Aviation Academy (OFAA).

The foundation stone was graciously laid by Dr. Anand Jacob Verghese, Chairman & Managing Director of Hindustan Group of Institutions (HGI), in the presence of esteemed faculty, staff, students, and dignitaries.

Ceremony Highlights:

  • Inaugural address by Dr. Anand Jacob Verghese, outlining the vision for OFAA Kurnool as a regional hub for pilot training
  • Traditional stone-laying rituals symbolizing strength, stability, and growth
  • Unveiling of architectural plans for the state-of-the-art hangar facility

About the New Hangar
Designed to support the expanding fleet at OFAA Kurnool — the first DGCA-approved Flying Training Organization (FTO) in Andhra Pradesh — the new hangar will:

  • Enhance aircraft maintenance capabilities
  • Improve operational efficiency and safety
  • Strengthen hands-on training infrastructure for student pilots

This new addition underscores OFAA’s commitment to excellence in aviation training, ensuring that our students have access to the best tools, technology, and facilities in the industry.

Building Dreams from the Ground Up. Stay tuned as we continue to set new benchmarks in pilot training across India.
